12-25-2008  Made the decision to adopt from Ethiopia.

1-18-2009  Sent off I-600A application

1-20-2009  Made the decision to halt our Ethiopia paperchase activities for 3 months. (Goal was to submit the dossier on Valentine's day.  New goal is to submit by end of April.)

2-9-2009  Sent in agency Contract for Ethiopia

3-5-2009  CIS fingerprints taken; Background Clearance Fingerprints taken

3-XX-2009  Spent most of March back in paperchase mode, but with no hurry.

4-2-2009  Found out 1 set of fingerprints for the Background clearances failed and need to be redone.  This means the homestudy won't be complete until May at the earliest.

5-16-2009  Background clearances all passed!! Yay!

5-17-2009  Last Home Study visit.  All clear.  Just waiting for final report to complete the dossier.

5-21-2009  All dossier documents (except for homestudy) completed and sent off to IAG for review.  Received the "all looks ready to 'rock and roll'!!"

5-27-2009  Dossier submitted!!

6-2-2009  Referral!!

6-8-2009 Formal acceptance of referral (out of town on vacation)

6-18-2009  Dossier through authentication and has arrived in Ethiopia

7-10-2009  Received I-171H  (HS sent 6/2, I171H received 7/10, total weeks = ~5.5)

8-14-2009  Dossier submitted to the courts

8-22-2009 to 10-11-2009 Courts are shut down

10-19-2009  Received a court date of 11/10.

11-10-2009  Passed Court

11-17-2009  Received Embassy appointment (12/23)

12-18-2009  Flights out to Ethiopia

12-21-2009  Gotcha Day!

12-23-2009  Embassy day

12-25-2009  Flights out of Ethiopia to Home!

12-26-2009  Home FOREVER!
