Fall Festival
Updates From Home
Gigi's school does not "celebrate" Halloween. Instead, a couple days into November, they have a "Fall Festival". At this festival, the kids have many different activities they can do and games they can play. It's a time for the parents to get shown the whole place by their most-proud kids and cheer them on.
It was quite a lot of fun to see Gigi at this. She kept saying, "C'mon Dad, I want to go do something else!" and then she'd dash off to another activity...
The first thing she wanted to try was the donut-on-a-string. Considering she had powdered sugar on her face when I arrived, I think she may have had a trial run at it. :-)
After that, she showed me how cool the slide was...
As well as the corn...
And she made me a mud cake!
At this point, it was snack time, so everyone hunkered down for cookies and juice.
After snacks, Gigi tried the swing,
And followed that up with another slide... (where were these cool slides when I was a kid?)
After a quick trip to the little house,
She spent some quality time with the zip line,
Stopped by the paint table,
And made sand cakes with her friends...
All in all, it was a wonderful party!
